How long does a Vietnam eVisa take? Normal service is within 5 business days; Urgent (3 days) and Super Urgent (1 day) are optional when you apply. Government approval still depends on volume, holidays, and document quality—plan ahead.
We are a private visa assistance service—not the Government of Vietnam. We can help prepare and submit your package quickly; final approval timing is decided by Vietnamese immigration authorities.
Flight Leaving Soon? If you've been waiting longer than your selected tier allows and your visa is still in "Processing" status, read our Emergency Guide: eVisa Stuck Processing to get it expedited.
Standard processing window
After you submit and pay on /apply:
- Authorities review passport data and uploads.
- Email arrives with approval or a request to fix issues.
- You download and print the PDF before airline check-in.
The website may stay online during weekends and Vietnamese public holidays (especially Tet), but human review can still slow down.
What makes processing faster
- Sharp passport scan and compliant portrait (photo guide).
- Passport number, name, and dates matching the MRZ exactly.
- Correct nationality and entry port for your real route.
- Applying several days before travel—not at the airport gate.
What slows processing down
- Blurry uploads, wrong file types, or swapped portrait vs passport files.
- Typos in name, passport number, or date of birth.
- High volume: December–January, Tet, April holidays, summer peaks.
- Repeated resubmissions after rejection without fixing root cause.

Urgent or “rush” services explained
Assisted services may offer Urgent (3 days) (+$110/pax) or Super Urgent (1 day) (+$220/pax) on our portal—checking photos, catching typos, and submitting promptly. Government approval time still depends on immigration workload. Paying for faster handling does not bypass legal screening.
Compare service levels on /fees and our processing page at /processing if your site lists tiers.
Tracking your application status
Keep your reference number and the email used on the form. If a portal offers status lookup, use the same surname spelling as on the passport. Save payment confirmation in case support needs it.
If approval has not arrived
- Check spam/junk folders.
- Verify payment succeeded (no duplicate charges without a reference).
- Confirm passport six-month validity beyond arrival.
- Avoid non-refundable hotels until you hold the PDF.
- Contact support with reference number—do not submit duplicate paid applications unless advised.
Nationality and document scrutiny
Timelines are similar for many countries, but review depth varies. Confirm rules on /check-requirement before assuming a friend’s timeline applies to your passport.
Planning timeline (recommended)
| Days before departure | Action |
|---|---|
| 14+ | Ideal window—apply with final passport and itinerary |
| 7 | Still reasonable for standard processing |
| 3 | Risky—fix uploads immediately if rejected |
| 0–1 | Emergency only—see urgent FAQ; have backup plans |
